Gaurav Schimar
Event Founder
The Founder of Snow Marathon League, is an Adventure Travel Journalist, Photographer, Travel and Expeditions Organiser and a Himalayan Specialist – Gaurav Schimar – is well known as the Founder of Indian Sub-continent’s 1st Adventure Travel Magazine – Explore the Unexplored. He organises select expeditions and thematic events in the Himalayas, including in the remotest and unexplored ecologically fragile and sensitive mountain ecosystems. He is also the Founder and Organiser of the World’s Highest Long Distance Endurance Cycling Race, the Manali-Khardungla Cycling Championship. With Snow Marathon League, and other such events to follow, he is aiming to set up an example of following and leading Ecologically Sensitive Adventure and Nature-Based Travel. As an Explorer of sorts – he strongly believes and advocates – that Life-Giving Mother Earth is at an immediate and perilous threat from Human Beings and the time to act is now, before it is too late.
Uma Sudhindra
Chief Strategic Advisor & Mentor
Uma Sudhindra is a strategist, entrepreneur, educator, and national security advocate with over three decades of experience spanning public policy, academia, and enterprise. A strong proponent of a self-reliant India, she has founded organisations across human resource development, travel, and defence technology. She currently serves as Director at XD Defence Systems, leading domestic and international defence outreach and advising on projects aligned with India’s military advancement. Uma has worked extensively with government agencies on capacity and capability-building frameworks, combining psychometrics with strategic foresight, and consults on data sovereignty, narrative warfare, soft power, and non-military threats. She founded Go Magic Trails, the nodal agency for the Indian Army’s border tourism initiatives, enabling civilian engagement in frontier regions. Uma who has been supporting Snow Marathon since inception, serves on prestigious boards including IIM Visakhapatnam and Rashtriya Raksha University, mentors startups, leads the NGO “I’m Every Woman,” and is a published author currently researching defence diplomacy and India’s military-industrial growth.
Rajiv Kumar
CEO
Rajiv is Growth Catalyst, Startup Enthusiast, and a Multi-tasker, with a strong eye for details, with over two decades of experience in Business, Strategic Alliances, Startups, Content, Branding and Technology Transfer. An Electronics Engineer from BIT Mesra and Masters in International Management and Global market exposure of over a decade, he has strengthened the thought “Think Global Act Local”. He has a proven track record of working with global clients and customer acquisition across the planet, over multi lingual and cultural business negotiations. Rajiv supports one India belief and is working actively to create a platform through which service offerings touches people from all walks of life. With Snow Marathon League, Rajiv’s vision is to create multiple global running events in India and offer top of the line experience, which touches people from all walks of life, using successful global business strategies with local flavour. Rajiv is driven by his passion and vision to create a Global Platform for different events in the space of Adventure, Technology, Food and Leisure to touch one and all.
Colonel Arun Natrajan
Chief Event Advisor
Col Arun Natrajan is an ex-Army Aviator and an adventure enthusiast who has over 6000 hours of operational flying experience in all variants of the aircraft held with Indian Army including the Rudra attack helicopters. As a member of a select core team, he has trial evaluated and ensured the successful induction of Twin Engine Helicopters in the Indian Army and has flown in all terrains including the Siachen Glacier. He has flown as an Operational Pilot during Op Vijay. A familiar face at all National and International events including the Republic Day Parade Flypasts and Aero India International Airshow displays, he has enthusiastically encouraged and actively supported several adventure initiatives all through his career in the Indian Army. His experience in the world of outdoor sports and particularly running in varied topography and conditions is vital as the Chief Event Advisor for Snow Marathon League and he is himself an avid marathoner, having participated in over 20 Half and Full Marathons over the years.
Daljeet Narang
Brand, Partnership and Growth
Daljeet has over 30 years of experience in integrated marketing communications, spanning the complete communication lifecycle from strategy and ideation to execution and impact. He has deep expertise in Passion Group Marketing, particularly across sports, entertainment, and experiential platforms, along with strong capabilities in brand and product management, integrated marketing, events, PR, advertising, strategic alliances, and media buying. He has worked with India’s most prestigious sporting properties including the IPL, CSK, ISL, IHL, PHL, Federation Cup, National Games, and National Football League, and has successfully managed high-profile athlete endorsements and representations for iconic sports personalities such as MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina, and Saina Nehwal.
Col J.S. Dhillon
Principal Advisor
Snow Marathon League is being organised under the guidance of highly-able aegis of a Highly Decorated Veteran Soldier – Col J.S. Dhillon – who is working with the Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India and is the President, Winter Games Federation of India (WGFI). He is a renowned mountaineer who has 22 Himalayan Peaks to his credit and is the longest serving Principal of the National Mountaineering and Skiing Institutes, like Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (HMI), Darjeeling and was also a Joint Director of AAW (Army Adventure Wing), during which tenure three expeditions above 26,000 ft were successfully conducted and has been the longest serving Principal of Indian Institute of Skiing and Mountaineering (IISM), Gulmarg. He also conceived, planned and trained Army Women and NCC Girls Expedition, who successfully climbed Mt Everest in 2005, which put the 1st Ladakhi Girl – Ms Tsering Ladhol – on Mt Everest.
Lt Col Bhuwan Khare
Event Advisor
Lt Col Bhuwan Khare who is the Event Advisor for Snow Marathon League, serves in the Indian Army, is a Specialised ‘Skiitrooper’ and a High Altitude Warfare Commando. He has represented India in number of International events and also has coached Indian Olympic teams, represented in Worlds, Olympic Qualifier and has been a National Judge for a decade. He is Qualified in High Altitude and Sea Survival Techniques and is a Life Saver under RLSSI (Rashtriya Life Saving Society India). Saurav Schimer
Race Director
Saurav Schimer is an Alumni of St. Stephens college, Indian Military Academy and The Test Pilots Fraternity who ran his first Full marathon at the age of 18 some 35 years ago. Ever since then he has run numerous Full and Half Marathons including Khardungla Challenge Ultra. He is a keen nature lover and an adventure enthusiast who is actively involved in Mountaineering, Biking, Cycling, Trekking, White water rafting, Sky Diving, Certified Open Water Scuba Diver. He has been leading mountaineering expeditions in the country. On the running front he has been an advisor in organising running events across the country and has been the Race Director of Snow Marathon since its inception.

Event Production
Leon is a creative entrepreneur and industry professional with over 20 years of experience across music, entertainment, hospitality, esports and experiential events. His career has spanned music education, artist development, event production and the creation of creative ventures, giving him a broad understanding of both the creative and business sides of the industry. Known for turning ideas into distinctive experiences, Leon brings together creativity, strategy and execution to build projects with strong identity and audience appeal. His work reflects a passion for creating meaningful experiences at the intersection of culture, entertainment, sport, technology, community and lifestyle.
Ishwinder Singh
Lead – Hospitality & Logistics
Ishwinder is a hospitality professional with 30 years of experience across the Indian Himalayas. A graduate in Economics and Geography, he has built a hands-on career in some of India’s most iconic mountain destinations, combining operational excellence with strong regional insight. He currently runs his own hospitality operations and has worked with leading brands including EIH at Wildflower Hall, Shimla, supported Taj Hotels in Manali, and served as Business Developer for Sunday’s Forever, a boutique hospitality brand in Uttarakhand. Deeply rooted in the Himalayas, Ishwinder remains actively engaged with outdoor and adventure travel. He is a member of the Indian Mountaineering Foundation and the Indian Rafting Foundation and regularly undertakes treks and expeditions. At 55, he brings experience, discipline, and warmth to Snow Marathon.
Sachin Sharma
Trainer
Sachin isn’t just an endurance coach – he embodies the lifestyle. Living in a high-altitude Himalayan town, the mountains are both his training ground and guide. Known for testing his own limits, Sachin has attempted speed records on iconic treks and set a national record in the Everesting 10K on foot. His coaching style is rooted in real-world experience and scientific insight, tailored to everyone’s life, challenges, and goals. From beginners to elite athletes, Sachin helps people grow stronger, more confident, and more capable. Whether you’re training for a summit or seeking better fitness, he’ll believe in you – even before you do.
Ajaay Raj Rajan
Marketing & Alliances
Ajaay has been an active individual having played sports like cricket, badminton, kho kho and kabaddi. He excelled in cricket as an all-rounder and played till university level. He is a science graduate and a post graduate in business management. He has spent two decades in the corporate world working in telecom and healthcare industry at a senior level and has worked with brands like Airtel, Idea, Aircel and Indofil. He has mentored and led a few start-ups in technology and healthcare space. He is passionate about building new projects and contributing to society and people. He has been associated with the Snow Marathon since inception contributing in several ways and is excited to make it big.

Vipin has not been a brand seeking professional but more of an Individual who wished for freedom in an individual working space with support from mentors whom he highly appreciates. As a thoroughbred travel professional with 33+ years of experience, he has worked with Abercrombie & Kent India, SITA and Creative Travels India. He has had a great deal of exposure to both international guests, corporate clients, MICE and has proven expertise in managing large travel groups. Vipin brings his vast experience and skills to make Snow Marathon a success.
Shubham Pal
Running Head
Shubham is a dynamic and result-oriented sports & event management professional with extensive experience in managing large-scale marathons, ultra-runs and sports championships across India. He is skilled in end-to-end event execution including venue operations, race management, technical coordination, athlete handling, production management, logistics, and team coordination. He has a proven ability to manage high-pressure environments while ensuring smooth event delivery, operational excellence, and participant satisfaction. Experienced in working as an Event Manager, Venue Operations Manager, Technical Lead, Event Coordinator, Team Coordinator and Production Head for prestigious national-level marathons, trail-runs, ultra-races, university games, athletic championships, Shubham has been the key force in not only Snow Marathon but to put together the Spiti Marathon alongside the Indian Army as part of the Snow Marathon Team.
Dalip Singh
Operations
Dalip who served with distinction in the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), bringing over 12 years of experience as a certified mountaineer, physical trainer, and marathoner. Honored with Golden and Silver Discs, he trained personnel in endurance, survival, and discipline. Post-retirement, he leads heritage, trekking, and eco-tours in Kullu, while championing environmental sustainability through clean-up drives, recycling, and youth engagement. A passionate advocate for fitness and a drug-free lifestyle, Dalip inspires young people to embrace nature, adventure, and responsible living. His dedication continues to fuel his mission of keeping the Himalayas green and guiding youth toward strength and discipline.
